I often look for ways to find the work of women in the scriptures. Recently I found many beautiful ways women served the Tabernacle of God.
The women donated their copper mirrors. For the purpose of making the basin where the priests would wash. They did this before entering the sanctuary. There is some beautiful symbolism of the mirror in those times. This was a sacrifice and sacred ways to participate in the needs of the temple.
Women also donated their precious jewelry. For the maintenance of the temple, and for the finances for supplies to make the holy garments.
There were women who created fabric of blue, purple, scarlet and linen. This was for the priestly vestments, needed for the temple as well as the curtains and veils. This clothe enabled important elements of the temple work to be done.
Righteous mothers could also make a vow to make their child, a Nazarite at the temple, to help in the work.
I love thinking of their dedication and consecration to the sacred temple work being done. These women and their stories are shining examples to me of faith.
